Sea Drive Concept awarded by the French Design Institute
The French Design Institute, which has been awarding design excellence for 65 years, held its Janus award ceremony at the Quai d’Orsay on 17 December 2018.. The Janus awards innovative designs. A panel of 50 independent experts assess the creations based on 5 criteria: economy, aesthetics, ethics and feeling.
Anne-Sargueil, the president of the French Design Institute, enthusiastically hosted a ceremony bringing nearly 70 winners together.
The innovative Sea Drive Concept, designed by Peugeot Design Lab for BENETEAU was awarded the JANUS de la Prospective, for experimental innovations. The panel of judges liked the ergonomics and clean aesthetic design of this driving station, inspired by the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®, as well as its connected Ship Control® technology by BENETEAU. They also commended the automobile and nautical designers for having designed what could be the future of the driving station in the boat industry.

The GT50 and the Swift Trawler 47 are equipped with Ship Control technology.
